Food Pantry Landscape

During another project at my internship with LBE, I was tasked with designing a landscaping layout to bring the property up to current county requirements. I served as the lead designer on this project, with my work reviewed and approved by our resident architect and civil engineer. Completing the project required researching local codes and meeting with both the client, to understand their goals, and the city, to ensure all codes were met. One interesting challenge arose due to frequent tenant turnover and the landlord's future plans meant we could not demolish certain areas of asphalt. Since we still had to meet a 5' buffer line requirement, we designed plant boxes that could be placed over the existing asphalt while satisfying the city code.
